66 x 47cm Limited Ed. 4/4 Inland Tide captures river side images merged together with the Village of Woodbridge. It appears to be a sunken. A village lost to the Water. But this is just an illusion created through the technique of layering. Through the translucent building Signed of the river are revealed.
When land and river come together , you get a very new and unique landscape. Capturing some of the more familiar boats of the Woodbridge docks I have combined them with the peaceful Woodbridge Park. Park benches and Trees come together with boats and water. All combining in one unique landscape.
As the skies begin to darken and the water funnels out of the river Orwell a slightly more eerie environment is created. Although peaceful it almost feels like the calm before the storm. Its unnerving and unsettling. When will the water return.
This series of work has been designed around Woodbridge. The Woodbridge docks were peaceful on this day. Two swans posed in front of my camera lens. Merging together Images captured at low tied with the boats of the docks creating the foreground. The river reflects a perfect sky. Clouds settle on the water as the water slowly rises to high tide.
